Contest Mechanics:

1. The contest is open to Calaqueños born and residing in Calaca.
2. Contestant must be bonafide resident of the said barangay properly endorsed by the barangay Captain and must present proof of residency.
3. There will be only one (1) contestant for every barangay, male or female. No age limit.
4. Interested contestants must not be a professional singer and should not be under any recording contract or won in the contest conducted on the national TV.
5. Each contestant will choose a song and should not be the same piece to be used by the rest of the contestants.
6. The criteria for judging will be as follows:

   Voice quality	-	40%
   Timing	-	20%
   Diction	-	20%
   Stage presence	-	20%
   TOTAL	-	100%

7. Winners will receive cash prize as follows:

   1st Place	-	Php 5,000
   2nd Place	-	Php 3,000
   3rd Place	-	Php 2,000

8. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.
9. Deadline of submission of entries will be on Oct. 18, 2011
